In 1996 Christina Shand moved to the small pink cottage in Pembrokeshire. She had no intention of creating a large garden, but having started work on the small front garden found she couldn’t stop, until she had almost reached the Presceli Hills.
She has had to deal with lack of topsoil, rock, marsh and bog. There are now a series of small gardens, extending outwards from the cottage, which are closely planted with vibrant colours, leading on to a bog garden and then uninterrupted into the hills.

This has to be one of the most inspirational gardens of the 21st century. Having met Christina twice, I’m sure we are in for an entertaining and stimulating afternoon
This will be followed by afternoon tea in Hoby Village Hall. We hope for good weather this year, as Steve and Diane Horsfield have invited us to visit their garden after tea.
NB: Please do not park in the pub car park. There is on street parking available.
